WWW Wednesday

I’ve just started Mystery of the Night Watchers and hope to find time at the weekend to finish it as I’m still finding reading during the week almost impossible! I’m listening to Hold Back the Tide which is absolutely amazing. There are definitely scary tense parts. I’m so worried about a character now that I’m finding it hard to stop listening when I get to work. Seriously – this is brilliant!

I binge read this at the weekend. It is absolutely brilliant. The cliffhanger chapter endings will make it a perfect read aloud. Orin Crowfall and his robot Cody are incredibly likeable. I love the environmental theme and the mix of technology with nature. I will be writing my review at the weekend but, just to say, this is one I would highly recommend. It is being released on 1st July.

I’m hoping to read Between Sea and Sky next. I loved Nicola’s first book, Where the World Turns Wild so am really looking forward to this one.

What are you reading? Have you read any of these?

  1. Ooh, I’m intrigued to know who you’re worrying about in HBTT!

    1. I’m worried about Cora! I’ve almost finished it now – what a story! I didn’t see the twist coming at all. I’m only about 70 pages into Mystery of the Night Watchers – I’m enjoying the build-up of the mystery. I’ll probably just have started BSAS by next WWW, but I’m so looking forward to it.

      1. I’m not far into BSAS but it is BRILLIANT! I’m loving it! I enjoyed the build up in Night Watchers too but it fell a bit flat for me after that, I’ll be interested to see what you think, I suspect I’m being a bit harsh!

    1. I’m really enjoying the build-up of the mystery in MOTNW. I’m fully expecting Between Sea and Sky to be amazing – even more so after your recommendation! I’ve almost finished Hold Back the Tide and completely agree with you. I wasn’t sure what to expect but knew you and Rachael both loved it so thought I’d try it when I saw it on BorrowBox. The narration is fantastic. I loved Crowfall- those cliffhanger chapter endings – I bet you have to keep reading! And what? Is Tinyfae getting more sleep? If so, that’s fantastic to hear. 💚
