August Wrap-Up

And … my summer holiday is over! I did make the most of it, and it was exactly what I needed – lots of relaxation, reading and seeing family. But the rowing machine that was going to help me get fit – not so much! I had my first day with my new Year 6 class on Friday and it was so brilliant to be back with this Year group. We’re heading off on a residential later this month which I’m very excited about as I used to love this one when I was last in Year 6.

Books Iโ€™ve read:

Iโ€™ve readย 12ย books this month, all physical copies. Iโ€™ve written and posted reviews for 7 of the books Iโ€™ve read. I really enjoyed all of these books but the ones that really stood out for me were Fireborn, Hide and Seek and The Crackledawn Dragon.

NetGalley:

My Feedback Ratio is now atย 97%. I have two books to read on my NetGalley Shelf, The Shadows of Rookhaven and Locked Out Lily both released on 30th September.

Books sent by publishers:

I have been lucky enough to have been sent these books by publishers this month.

Books Iโ€™ve bought:

I’ve bought 6 books in August.

How has your month been?ย Have you read any of these?

  1. I still haven’t got round to reading Crackledawn Dragon and must get hold of that one. I did enjoy The Shadows of Rookhaven though. Well done for getting your Net Galley feedback so high.

    1. I hope you get a chance to read The Crackledawn Dragon – a hug in a book! I โ€˜m so looking forward to reading Shadows of Rookhaven. Itโ€™s so tempting to request books on NetGalley – Iโ€™ve had to be very strict with myself!

    1. Thank you. I havenโ€™t been on a residential for a few years now, so Iโ€™m really looking forward to it. I taught Year 4 last year! Good luck with meeting your new class and your new school. ๐Ÿ’š

  2. I’m so glad you had a relaxing and restorative holiday (and that the rowing machine was neglected – holidays are not for rowing machines ๐Ÿ˜‚)
Some awesome books here – lots I’ve read and loved too (Crackledawn, Clock of Stars…) and plenty more I’m excited for (Fireborn, Dead Man’s Pass.. .)
